Volunteer Information

  • There are several ways to volunteer for Night to Shine.
  • The most rewarding (but time consuming role) is being a “Buddy.” If you are not comfortable with the Buddy role or don’t have time, there are other roles that are equally important to ensure the event is a success.
  • Every volunteer has to go through a quick background check – this is part of the application process.
  • Every volunteer has to go through mandatory training sessions (30 – 45 minutes) – there are multiple sessions that the church will hold before the event. Select one and attend.
  • If you have several volunteers at your branch, let your Marketing Manager know – we could potentially arrange a training session for Night to Shine at the branch.
  • Depending on what you want to get out of your volunteer experience, you have 8 main roles to select from (may vary from church to church).
